Rachel O’Sullivan

Rachel is an experienced Corporate Services Director with more than 25 years’ leadership across human resources, finance, governance and organisational transformation. Her career spans senior roles in hospitality, mining, healthcare, agriculture, local government and business events, including positions with the Cairns Convention Centre, MSF Sugar, Rio Tinto and Weipa Town Authority.

Rachel is known for her strategic approach to workforce planning, change management, and building high-performing multidisciplinary teams. She brings strong commercial acumen and extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, corporate governance, risk, ICT system implementation and financial management.

She currently serves on the Queensland State Council of the Australian HR Institute, and has previously held board and committee roles across disability services, education and community organisations. A Certified HR Practitioner, CPA and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Rachel is recognised for her steady, solutions-focused leadership and commitment to strengthening regional communities.
