Moving from NSW to Cairns in 2004, Patrick joined the team at Queensland X-Ray, where he developed a passion for advancing imaging services and a strong understanding of the vital role healthcare plays in regional growth. In his leadership roles, Patrick has been a committed advocate for strengthening Cairns’ allied health workforce, particularly in addressing local staffing needs in medical imaging. This advocacy helped establish an industry partnership with CQUniversity, paving the way for a Cairns-based Medical Imaging degree commencing in 2026. Patrick is now the Regional Chief Radiographer for Queensland X-Ray in Cairns, leading and mentoring the next generation of imaging specialists to support the region’s growing community.
