With a career spanning workforce development, event management, teaching and small-business ownership, Janelle brings a distinctly place-based and practical approach to strengthening talent pipelines in the Cairns region. She has deep insight into regional workforce challenges and skills shortages and extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale initiatives – including careers expos, employer toolkits, pathway resources, school–industry engagement programs and inclusive employment projects.
A skilled communicator and relationship-builder, Janelle works closely with stakeholders to ensure workforce strategies reflect real industry needs. A true collaborator with an ecosystem mindset, she is committed to First Nations engagement, disability inclusion and community-led solutions. Her background in Teaching further enables her to design accessible, meaningful learning and career pathways for young people and jobseekers.
